The forgotten basics of pain relief
85% of pain conditions aren't what doctors think they are...
I'm about to tell you something that may land me in hot water with the medical community…
But it needs to be said.
When you burn your hand on the stove, you think the pain is in your hand, right?
Wrong.
Most specialists will tell you that pain comes from damaged tissue.
But breakthrough research from Dr. Howard Schubiner shows this belief could actually be reversing your healing process.
Here’s a simple breakdown of what happens when you burn your hand.
The nerves in your hand sense a signal, and send that signal to your spine.
The spine sends the signal to the brain.
The brain creates a “pain experience”.
Now here's where the pain experience gets fascinating...
The fascinating part is the elaborate dance of signals across different regions in the brain.
Based on fear, past memories, and whether you feel safe or threatened, your brain decides what happens next.
First, the pain signal hits your amygdala and triggers fear. A danger alarm sounds.
Second, the signal reaches your prefrontal cortex, where control is determined. This is where you either panic ("I'm damaged!") or stay calm and turn off the stove.
Finally, the signal creates a physiological response. You either experience more pain or you relax.
This biological response has a name:
"Predictive coding."
Predictive coding is when your brain makes its best guess about what's happening based on past experiences.
But this creates a big problem…
When your nervous system has been chronically stressed (from suppressed emotions, trauma, or ongoing pressure), your brain starts interpreting safe signals as dangerous.
Which results in your brain creating a pain experience when there’s no damage.
These are real symptoms that the medical establishment dismisses as "all in your head."
But they're not imaginary.
They're learned neural pathways created by your brain's danger detection system.
Dr. John Sarno famously said:
"Many people have bulging discs and no pain at all. There's little correlation between disc abnormalities and chronic pain."
His research proves something revolutionary:
85% of chronic pain conditions are neuroplastic, generated in the brain, not from structural damage.
And the evidence keeps growing...
In a groundbreaking study published in JAMA Psychiatry, 66% of chronic pain patients became pain-free or nearly pain-free in just 30 days using a mind-body approach.
Some had pain for 10 years.
Some were told they had herniated discs.
But within 30 days of addressing the brain-body connection, they were free.
So what's the solution?
It starts with these 3 steps:
Physiology: Movement and cold therapy interrupt pain signals before they reach your brain's danger centers.
Fear: When you occupy your brain's decision-making regions with specific tasks, it can't amplify fear around pain.
Control: Having options under your control directly decreases pain intensity by changing your brain's threat assessment.
I spent 7 years in debilitating pain and tried dozens of treatments that didn't work.
What finally freed me wasn't another adjustment or procedure…
It was understanding how my brain was creating my symptoms and learning to retrain those neural pathways.
That's exactly why I created Brain Based Healing.
To take the research locked away in medical journals and give you the step-by-step system to rewire your own brain.
To your success & joy,

P.S.
I’ve decided to move the launch of Brain Based Healing from September 22nd to October 6th.
Why?
Because I want this program to be the gold standard in nervous system retraining, giving you tools that help you shift out of survival mode and into healing, as quickly and effectively as possible.
That level of quality takes time to build.
Thank you for your patience and for trusting me with your healing journey. I can’t wait to share this with you soon.
